A Neat “Social Bookmarking” Tool
“Social Bookmarking” is becoming increasingly popular. “Social Bookmark” sites allow their members to share their favourite websites and blogs with the rest of the community. And little “add me to your social bookmark” logos are appearing on more and more sites and blogs.
And they work! I’ve seen quite a few of my sites where I’ve installed these bookmarking links appear all over the “Web 2.0″ sites. It’s yet another way of getting more visitors to your websites and blogs.
But there are so many of these social bookmarking sites and adding their little “bookmark me!” logos one by one to your site can be a real pain. So, naturally, there re a few “web doctors” who’ve come up with ways of taking away this pain. They do this by giving you just one link or image to put on your site, and it enables your visitors to add your site to any of the social bookmarking sites of which they are a member.
Here’s the one which I’m using:

Just enter your website (or blog) title and its web address and you get a bit of code to paste into your website or blog. You can choose a text link or a choice of images. You can see the one which I’ve chosen on my blog:
http://www.MarketingSparks.com
Look in the left-hand column of my blog - and click the image with a lot of symbols to see what happens! You’ll get taken to a page where there’s about 50 social bookmarking sites listed. And, if you are a member of any of them, you just choose the link, log into your account - and you can add “Marketing Sparks” to your favourite bookmarks. Thank you!
If you don’t fully understand the significance of “social bookmarking”, don’t worry. Just take my word for it that adding this code snippet to your website or blog can do you nothing but good.
So go and get your little bit of code from here:

.. and paste it into your website and / or blog (use the code view, not the “visual” view if you’re using something like Dreamweaver or FrontPage. And you don’t have to sign up for anything to use this f’ree service!
