Getting One Way Links - The Right Way

One heck of a lot has been written about getting links back to your website. A whole industry has sprung up around this one topic. You can get software, link exchange sites, instructional videos and a whole lot more, all aimed about boosting your website’s visibility and drawing in more visitors through getting links back to your site.

Once “reciprocal links” were in favour: “You put a link to my site, and I’ll put a link to yours”.

Now, in this “cat-and-mouse” game with the search engines, the “one way” link is favoured. The idea is (and it has yet to be proved) that a link from a site which is not linked back from your site is more powerful in boosting your popularity with the search engines.

This concept has given rise to a host of rather dodgy schemes.

And that is the subject of our guest writer today. Jerret Turner says in his article:

"It’s just as important to know what not to do when executing a website linking strategy as it is to know what to do. With inexpensive linking software and services so readily available, there’s a strong temptation to take shortcuts when it comes to getting quality links."

He walks us through three potentially dangerous pitfalls when we seek to get one way links. What are these hidden dangers? Read his article here:
