Project #2: Enabling Social Bookmarking Links (and this is a project for you, too!)
Kavitha, my assistant, who’s a Web 2.0 whiz, keeps pushing me to do more and more with “social bookmarking” and the like.
This Web 2.0 device enables people who are members of any of the many social bookmarking sites to add the URLs of websites that they like to their personal collection of favourite sites. If quite a few people add your site to these social bookmarking sites, it can have quite an impact on your search engine ranking.
And, if a shed load of people on a popular (and high-ranked) site such as del.icio.us like your site, you could find your site rocketing upwards in the search engines!
So I was in quite a receptive frame of mind when I found a very useful tool in Viralized.com. There’s just a few quick and easy things you need to do with this tool:
And that’s it! Now, when any visitor who’s into “social bookmarking” sees your text or image link for your social bookmarking service and likes your site, it’s so easy for them to add it, because the link takes them through to a page with all your site’s details entered, and which has links to 50 social bookmarking sites!
The easiest way to understand this process is to do it yourself, and, thanks to Viralize.com, I can off’er you this free service.
Here’s where to go to get started..

It took me about 10 minutes to add these social bookmarking links to three of my sites. You can see them in place on my Marketing Magic site (URL under my name near the end of this newsletter) and I also added them to CityOfYork.com and to City-Of-Brighton.com
Oh, and please feel free to pass this link along to your subscribers, website visitors and anyone else you know:

Psst - that’s “viral marketing” at work!
